While much is done during the warm months in Alaska, the winter is a vital time for trapping in order to provide both meat and fur; with unseasonably warm temperatures, people are struggling to cover ground without the use of snowmobiles.

Some of The Last Alaskans have been in the wilderness for generations; as one prepares to celebrate a birthday, others commemorate the dead, and one frontierswoman inches closer to delivering a new life into the wild.

Some of the Alaskans will head back to society, as others will make the choice to stay in the wilderness.

The Moore family struggles to keep the dog breeding business afloat; local sled dog rival James swoops in to take advantage of the Moore family despairs.

Seeking Higher Ground
The flood is on the front door steps of the village and the people set out to conquer the overflow; the Yukon men must seek higher ground as the record breaking flood could wipe the town off the map.
