In the series premiere, Rebecca helps three women begin to heal from the traumatic loss of a mother and child at the hands of a deranged family member. In a subsequent episode, viewers will meet Ian, a young soldier, who wonders if his late mother was the guardian angel that saved him from a rocket-propelled grenade attack that destroyed his vehicle while on duty in Afghanistan.

Cara and Traci
Cara lost her husband and five-year-old son in a car accident that her young daughter survived. When Traci's mom died of cancer, her estranged father unexpectedly re-entered her life.

Laura and Mindy
Big sister Laura felt she was doing the right thing when delivering some tough love to her brother about his problems with drugs. Mindy's dreams for the perfect destination wedding are shattered when two of her best friends and bridesmaids are killed in a car accident in route to the rehearsal dinner.

Ian and Marda
Ian, a young soldier, wonders if his late mother was the guardian angel that saved him from a rocket-propelled grenade that destroyed his vehicle while on duty in Afghanistan. Marda enlists Rebecca's help to release the spirit of her fighter pilot father who died during the Vietnam War months before she was born.

Jenn and Jacqueline
Rebecca helps Jenn through the guilt and unanswered questions surrounding her brother's suicide. She hopes to find if she missed any signs that could have prevented the tragedy. Having lost him to a policeman's bullet before she was born, Jacqueline hopes that Rebecca can connect her with the father she never met.

Steve and Misty; Stacy
Father of three Steve, arranged for his dying wife to spend time with everyone she touched in life, but in the chaos was never able to say his final goodbye. Distraught, Steve wants Rebecca's help to have his moment with the love of his life. Stacy's quest to meet her birth mother is thwarted when she discovers that her mother has died.

Lindsay and Deidre
Lindsey is a young widow whose husband's sudden and recent death left her alone with three young children. Lindsey meets with Rebecca to seek her husband's guidance on how to help their children cope with his death. Deidre's last words to her father were said in anger. She needs Rebecca's help to relieve her guilt and regret and to mend the broken relationship.

Lisa and Rachel
Lisa wrote a country song about the death of a 19 year-old boy in a car accident. A year later her son died in eerily similar circumstances. Lisa fears her words sealed her son's fate and seeks Rebecca's guidance to make sense of it. Rachel needs Rebecca's help in figuring out what her husband was trying to tell her in the last moments of his life.

Krista; Tony and Kristin
Rebecca meets with siblings Krista and Tony, locked in a bitter feud over the sale of their family home. Kristin made the difficult decision to end treatment for her terminal young son. She hopes to reach out to him through Rebecca to make sure he understands her choice and forgives her.

Tracy and Dominic
Tracy lost both her mother and brother in separate car accidents within an eight month span, and with Rebecca's help, communicates with them to find out why. Dominic meets with Rebecca in an attempt to let go of the anger he feels toward the friend who murdered his brother.

Livia and Meana
Livia's family life was ripped apart when her brother brutally murdered their mother. Struggling with the idea of forgiveness, she contacts her mother with Rebecca's help to understand how she should feel towards her brother.

Todd; McKenna and Sue; Joel
Todd and McKenna reach out through Rebecca to Mary, the wife and mother whose absence looms large. Rebecca meets with Meana, who lost her oldest son to a deadly asthma attack.
