Marooned / The Search / Isaac's Holiday Part 2

A hurricane devastates the tropical island where a shore party of Capt. Stubing, his crew members and passengers are held captive by a strange hermit while the Pacific Princess totters under the command of a bumbling deputy captain in a special two-hour season premiere of "The Love Boat". Guest starring in "Marooned" are Edie Adams, John Astin, Barbi Benton, David Birney, Norm Crosby, Laraine Day, Lola Falana, Audra Lindley, Dick Martin, Donna Mills and Avery Schreiber. The series stars Gavin MacLeod as Capt. Merrill Stubing, Lauren Tewes as cruise director Julie McCoy, Bernie Kopell as "Doc" Adam Bricker, Fred Grandy as purser "Gopher" Smith and Ted Lange as bartender Isaac Washington. Unaware of the approaching hurricane because of a blundering deputy captain (Martin), Capt. Stubing, mpany a shore party to a supposedly deserted island. Passengers with them are a rich, spoiled girl (Ms. Benton); a henpecked husband and his sharp-tongued wife (Schreiber and Ms. Adams) and a mature, empathetic lady (Ms. Lindley). The group is captured by Dave the Hermit (Astin), a strange, poetic character. "Marooned" was written by Michael Norell. Meanwhile, aboard ship, vacationing Isaac, trying to impress a foxy lady passenger (Ms. Falana), is forced to wrest command from the deputy captain who panics with the approaching hurricane in "Isaac's Holiday." written by Ben Joelson and Art Baer. Also left aboard is a beautiful young woman (Ms. Mills) trying to confront her natural mother (Ms. Day), who gave her up for adoption, and the woman's soap opera star son (Birney), who is falling in love with the daughter in "The Search," written by Lee Aronsohn. Paul Stanley directed the three segments of "Marooned."
