The Love Boat - Season 7

The crew and passengers are embroiled in intrigue when "The Love Boat" sets sail for the ancient palaces and splendors of China in a special two-hour premiere. Romance comes to an international fugitive (John Forsythe) when he meets a beautiful woman (Ursula Andress) with a secret. The relationship is hindered when the man's pursuer (Michael Constantine) will not let him out of his sight in "The Pledge," written by Lan O'Kun. A gorgeous divorcee (Linda Evans) meets a handsome man (Lee Majors) who tries to conceal his true identity both from her and from Isaac (Ted Lange), which leads to an unusual confrontation in "Dear Roberta," written by Lawrence Levy and Robert Spears. In "East Meets West," written by Christopher Vane and Jill Baer, Doc (Bernie Kopell) falls for a lovely woman (Susan Anton) who resists his advances when she finds out about his past. A man (Lee Horsley) finds himself in a hilarious situation when both of his girlfriends (Erin Moran and Patricia Klous) vie for his affections and he decides to marry one, in "My Two Dumplings," written by Richard Albrecht and Casey Keller.

A group of men representing a fun organization, The Rhinos, want to give an award to a crew member;  a man meets his wife before the divorce and tells her he is to be married again; a fun loving man decides to help out his heart broken friend after introducing him to an unusual gal.

A couple accompanied by their daughter, soon find out she is in love with their best friend;  a progressive woman insists on helping her insurance mate find a romance when he claims having affairs is good for the heart; when the niece of a big wheel in the cruise line demands Gopher's services, havoc follows because he thwarts her advances.

When Julie falls for her idol (played by Engelbert Humperdinck), he's forced to tell her what's really going on between him and his secretary. At the same time, a grouchy man interferes in his nurse's love life. Plus, a young man (Mark Harmon) meets up with a co-worker and learns the truth about his boss.

A jilted fiancé hires a Mata Hari (Elaine Joyce) to find the crew member that ruined his wedding plans; a junior executive (Parker Stevenson) suffers in silence while his boss (David Doyle) lusts after his bride. 

An author (Tom Poston) is blackmailed by his secretary; a father and son (Geoffrey Scott, Clark Brandon) unwittingly fall for the same woman (Markie Post). 

An estranged mother and her daughter, traveling with her husband, share a poignant moment when the truth is discovered about their past relationship; a beautiful widow finds herself falling hopelessly in love with a burly, no nonsense ship's employee; a newlywed couple create havoc after he has calculated that the world will end at midnight.

It is discovered that someone on board is missing, everyone becomes a suspect when a newly retired inspector and his assistant get on the case; after a high school friend of Julie's and her son board, the woman learns an important lesson when he meets her father and another traveler; an engaged couple has to put up with his ex-love who pickets him while they are on board.

A man bound by alimony wants to make sure his ex (Michelle Phillips) goes through with her marriage; Julie's Aunt Sylvia and her pal Betsy try to interest a publisher in Betsy's memoirs. 

A wealthy widow holds a gambling cruise for charity and a bride wagers her wedding money. Meanwhile, a woman drops a valuable coin in a slot machine.

The Harlem Globetrotters sail to Mexico but must compete against the crew's basketball team. Meanwhile, a man (Sid Caesar) gets angry with his wife when she insists on hanging a portrait of her deceased aunt in their honeymoon suite. Plus, a son takes his father's place on the cruise, only to fall in love with his dad's secretary.

In "Ace in the Hole," written by Ben Joelson and Art Baer, Captain Stubing hires a devastatingly handsome new ship's photographer, Ace (Ted McGinley). Right off the bat, Ace is in trouble. He attracts the attention of the two sisters (K.C. Winkler & Julie Ronnie) who are aboard ship to visit Doc and Gopher. In addition, Ace doesn't know how to develop his own film.

On a Hong Kong cruise: a senator (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) romances a woman, until he learns the nature of her visit; two brothers (Leigh McCloskey, Lee Majors II) date Julie and Vicki; a compulsive shopper (Brenda Vaccaro) is offered $25,000 by her husband (Herb Edelman) if she'll resist temptation during the trip.

Plus, Ace is embarrassed when his wealthy parents have sent a butler to tend to his every need.

Luise Rainer has a dual role as a ship's maid and the twin she's resented for 40 years; a couple (Kin Shriner, Jenilee Harrison) takes a scientific approach to conception. 

A boy who thinks his grandmother (Glynis Johns) is terminally ill will do anything to ensure her happiness; a man (Ed Begley Jr.) who's uncomfortable around women falls in love with a mermaid (Mary Crosby). 

A man (Rich Little) impersonating a female singer gets double trouble when a passenger falls for the singer and Julie falls for him; a novelty salesman (Don Adams) has difficulty separating business from pleasure.

A movie director (Ben Vereen) filming a musical aboard the ship tries to keep his star (Juliet Prowse) happy at Doc's expense; Julie is pursued by the lookalike brother (Dean Jones) of a man she almost married; the Captain falls for the mother (Alexis Smith) of a self-doubting rock star (Jimmy Osmond) on his first acting job.

In "Best Ex-Friends," written by Chris Vane and Jill Baer, Isaac's new involvement with an enthralling but incompetent barmaid (Eugenia Wright) hinders his better judgement. When Gopher asks him to fire her, Isaac refuses to cooperate, so Gopher fires Isaac. In "All the Congressman's Women," written by Lisa Bannick, a Congressman (Sam Groom) and his fiancee (Phyllis Davis) are joined by his young daughter (Tori Spelling) on what they had planned to be a romantic getaway. It was the best precaution to take because he has received letters threatening the life of his daughter. But the scare intensifies when he receives more notes on board the ship. In "Three Faces of Love," written by David Swift, a makeup man (Sal Viscuso) and his actress girlfriend (Heidi Bohay) are destined for Mexico to shoot a movie, but his habit of disguising himself as other men to test her finally drives her to exasperation.
