Ms. Pat is back from her tour, but just as things seem to calm down, a snowstorm and a blast from Junebug's past literally brings new life, and new chaos, to the Carson home.

Denise and Junebug can't stop looking for love in all the wrong places, and both aunt and nephew are in for rude awakenings when the objects of their affection aren't all they seem to be.

Ghosts of the past can affect the present, and that's what happens when Pat and Denise's abusive mom Mildred returns to haunt her daughters and interfere in their family life.

When the family get derailed on their way to Atlanta for Pat's big show, they wind up at an unusual resort where they all learn a powerful lesson about listening and learning from the past.

The family arrives in Atlanta to find Pat's cousin and former partner in crime, Tanya, has been released from prison, which leads to a difficult walk down memory lane.

Pat and Denise encounter a familiar face when they join Elizabeth at a motivational speaker's event, and Junebug and Janelle suspect the bakery where they work is selling more than cupcakes.

Denise lands Pat a starring role in a movie with a big-time director, but the film may be a little too adult even by Pat's standards, and Terry has a heart-to-heart with his mom. 

Janelle has a big confession to make at her high school graduation party, and Brandon's surprise decision sparks a huge fight with Ashley.
