In Nazareth, Mary counts her blessings when her parents arrange to marry her to a local carpenter, Joseph.
Part Two
Mary is visited by the angel Gabriel, and she learns she will bear the son of God. Unable to tell Joseph, she visits her cousin.
Part Three
Joseph cannot accept Mary's explanation for her pregnancy, while Herod's suspicions are aroused by the arrival of the Magi.
Part Four
Joseph and Mary reach Bethlehem but discover they are not welcome. As Mary goes into labour, Joseph must find somewhere for her to give birth.
