Brits who have all fallen madly in love online make the potentially life-changing decision to cross international waters to meet their long-distance lovers for the very first time. The participants spend quality time on each other's home turf, moving into wherever their other half calls home. They meet their partner's friends and family, discovering all about their lover and their lifestyle and observe how they deal with the realities of their day-to-day life.

Law graduate Dumebi met Dubai-based boyfriend Mazi on Instagram, but the pair have never met in person despite Dumebi's repeated suggestions that they should. Having made the 4500-mile journey from Bridgewater to Kerela, India, 17-year-old Jay acclimatises to life with his first-ever girlfriend Veena, who is almost 10 years his senior.

In each episode, contestants are challenged with a signature bake, a technical bake, and a showstopper, with judges critiquing their creations and ultimately selecting a "Star Baker" and eliminating one contestant each week. The show tests their baking skills, creativity, and prowess under pressure.
