Ella fumes after Curtis makes a life-changing decision without her input; Curtis discovers that he was duped into a bad investment.

Curtis seeks retribution after he realizes that he was swindled; Ella has a change of heart after visiting the local church and meets a beautiful young woman in need.

The Paynes begin to settle into their new life with the help of their cousins; Ella is concerned about Nyla's disappearance.

Nyla fears that her actions will leave her with life-altering consequences; Ella attempts to save the day.

Curtis and Ella continue to wait for the police to arrive at the laundromat after Nyla disappears; later, the children reveal startling news about Nyla's relationship with Kendrick.

Curtis and Ella debate about taking in Nyla and her kids. Ella talks to Nyla about how her relationship is affecting her children.

Nyla's disrespectful behavior is wearing out her welcome at the Payne's house.

Curtis needs to place an online order for parts to get the laundromat up and running, but he doesn't know how to use the computer; Ella discovers Curtis knows how to do one thing on the computer.

Ella confronts Nyla after Lynn has suspicious nightmares; later, Nyla confronts Kendrick about Lynn's accusations.

After Ella learns that Curtis is trying to make his own repairs at the laundromat, she makes plans to involve professionals; Kendrick visits Nyla to apologize; Nyla finally comes clean with Ella and has a heart-to-heart with her children.

Curtis and Ella learn some troubling news about Nyla.

The family is in an uproar after Ryan tells Joann about some money that one of Ella's contractors found in the laundromat.

Nyla attempts to mediate between the Paynes and Joann after Ella and Curtis are served with court papers.

Ella wants to surprise Curtis with the new renovations, but Curtis has other plans.

Curtis tries playing matchmaker for Terrence and Nyla, but Nyla isn't very interested. Curtis tries to set Terrence and Nyla up on a blind date.

The Paynes discover that Nyla hasn't been completely truthful about her and Kendrick.

Curtis and Ella learn that Nyla has started seeing Kendrick again. Ella is afraid Nyla is returning to a situation where she will be abused again, starting the cycle over for her and the children.

After much needed work, renovations on the Laundromat are finally complete. Curtis and Ella are excited until federal agents intervene.

The FBI threatens to take the Laundromat due to Uncle Robert's past indiscretions. When Curtis and Ella turn to Joann for answers, they discover that she knows more than she has previously told them.

Curtis and Ella struggle to hold onto the laundromat and find a way to pay their creditors.

Nyla isn't sure she can makeup for her latest mistake of leaving the kids alone for hours. Ella prepares to take out a mortgage to pay her creditors.

Curtis learns that Nyla left the kids alone while he and Ella were out.

Kendrick is not ready for Nyla and her kids move back with him. Meanwhile, Ella and JoAnn wants Nyla to go to counseling.

Ella stands by her decision where Nyla is concerned.

Curtis realizes he was right about Nyla all along.

Curtis reconciles within his household.

Curtis and Nyla make a truce.

Nyla falls sick and Terrance is the one to take care of her while she's ill. The two unexpectedly grow closer.

Kenny and Lynn find their mother Nyla on the couch kissing Terrance. They demand answers to what is going on despite Nyla's attempt to put them off.

Terrance has a run in with Kendrick that leads to bad feelings all around.

Terrance becomes upset when he finds out Nyla's previous relationship was an abusive one.

Curtis tries out all sorts of ways, underhanded and otherwise, of getting Terrance his money. Ryan offers unhelpful advice.

Curtis and Ella are out of ideas to save the laundromat. They are surprised by an offer from Terrance who has a plan to keep the business open.

Curtis realizes he has exhausted all of his options and decides to go into business with Terrance.

Nyla makes the decision to get back together with Kendrick. Terrance brings in customers to the laundromat through his social media postings. Curtis thinks the children broke model train set.

Terrance and Curtis have very different ideas on how to operate the laundromat. Their continual arguing threatens the future of the business. Kendrick seeks advice from Ella and JoAnn about Nyla.

Terrence tries one more time to talk Nyla out of getting back together with Kendrick, but Kendrick rains on their parade. Later, Kendrick hits Nyla and she decides to leave him - But this time for good.
