The Rap Game UK - Season 2

Season 2
Episodes

Welcome to the Rap Game UK
DJ Target, Krept & Konan start the search for a new British rap star. The 6 artists perform A Capella before rapping about a key moment in their life to guest mentor Rapman.

Collab & Clash
DJ Target, Krept & Konan test the artists further. First, they must collaborate with each other before facing off in a fearsome clash. Guests: Yungen, Young T & Bugsey

Pressure & Purpose
DJ Target, Krept and Konan spring a shock on the artists by surprising them with their first challenge - they have 60 minutes to write about their musical influences. It's a race against time as the artists attempt to prove they can write bars under pressure, before performing in front of rap legend D Double E.
In the second challenge, JME is the guest mentor as the artists are given a platform to rap about an issue they care about. From homelessness to the BLM movement, the artists dig deep to share their emotionally charged views on world events. But before they can take to the stage, the Covid-19 pandemic threatens to shut down the competition, while one rapper's actions cost him his place in the penthouse.

Sound & Symphony
Two new challenges test the artists' skills further - penning a club banger and performing with an orchestra. Hook King Deno visits the artists to mentor them on making a catchy song, then under the watchful eye of DJ Target, Krept and Konan, the artists must perform their club tunes to Ms Banks, who is listening from another room and judging their tracks on sound alone. Will any of the artists' anthems get the seal of approval from queen of club bangers?
In challenge two, the artists dig deep to write about a surprising topic from their past. On performance day, Krept, Konan and Target deliver a shock surprise - the backing of a full orchestra. Can the artists rise to the occasion, or will they be drowned out by the power of the instruments?
Wretch 32 also guests.

Beats & Visuals
DJ Target, Krept and Konan set two new challenges for the artists: create a beat and shoot a music video. Working with acclaimed producers The Fanatix, the six artists must articulate their creative visions in the recording studio and create a bespoke backing beat. They have just 30 minutes each. Krept, Konan and Target pick the winning beat, which will be used by all artists in the second challenge - shooting a music video together. They each have eight bars to make their mark, and a budget to ensure their style and props are on point. To help them work on their visual brand, they each visit stylist to the stars, Ayishat Akanbi. But will they embrace her advice? Renowned video director Ashleigh Jadee works with the artists on the shoot. Time is limited as each artist strives to make a visual impact against the clock. Who will pop and who will flop? Manchester rapper Aitch is on hand to give feedback on the finished video before a dramatic twist surprises the artists - for the first time, the rankings are revealed face to face.

The Final
It's the last chance for the six hopefuls to impress Krept, Konan and DJ Target in their battle for the record deal. It has been a tough competition for the unsigned MCs, and all their hard work culminates in two do-or-die challenges. They will be grilled by the scene's biggest social influencers to see how they fare in the media pit, then they will perform their final bars on Kenny Allstar's legendary 1Xtra show.
Krept, Konan and DJ Target are on hand to judge and advise before making their final decision on which artist will win the one-single deal.
