Season 1
Episodes

Episode 1
Child psychologist Dr Gabrielle 'Gabs' Fox is recovering from the trauma of a car accident that killed her husband, Alex, and left her paralysed. Grieving and guilt-ridden, she has moved to the coastal town of Porth Hen in South Wales and is slowly learning to rebuild her life with the help of her own psychologist, Mel.
Gabs accepts a position at Oxsmith Psychiatric Hospital, where she is assigned several new patients, including the unit's most disturbed patient, 17-year-old Bethany Krall. Dangerous, intelligent and manipulative, Bethany was sectioned two years ago for the brutal murder of her mother, Carys Krall. The crime shocked the nation, not least because Bethany's bereft father, Leonard Krall, is the charismatic leader of the Faith Way, a feelgood religious movement boasting millions of followers thanks to its reassuring motto 'Choose Hope'. But when Gabs reads Bethany's case file, she finds the previous psychologist left very few notes.

Episode 2
Gabs tracks down the mystery woman in Bethany's drawings. A viral article shakes Gabs's trust in Dick, and a widespread blackout causes chaos. Gabs makes a shocking discovery.

Episode 3
Gabs and Dick uncover evidence that Leonard is hiding something, while floods in India match Bethany's drawings. Gabs pushes her suspicions into the open.

Episode 4
Gabs finally meets Anika Drake. New nurse Siobhan raises suspicions at Oxsmith. When Bethany is found injured, Gabs and Rafiq plan her escape. Max pushes Caroline to back Rostyre.

Episode 5
CCTV raises doubts over Bethany's honesty. Gabs turns to the Climate Front for help. A new drawing from Bethany leads Gabs and Dick to the old ruins, where the truth is revealed.
