Red Nose Day, the U.K.'s #1 television fundraising event, has come to America in a spectacular live star-studded special on NBC.

Seth Meyers, David Duchovny and Jane Krakowski will host "Red Nose Day," NBC's star-studded charity event, while Ed Sheeran, Josh Groban, Christian Slater, Al Roker, Andy Cohen, Kellan Lutz and Kermit the Frog are joining the "fun-raising" special. Featuring great comedy, videos produced by Funny or Die, incredible music performances and almost 100 of Hollywood's favorite stars, the benefit event will help 12 charity organizations lift children and young people out of poverty in the U.S. and in some of the poorest communities in the world. Meyers, Duchovny and Krakowski will each host one hour of the three-hour live event happening at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom.

Hollywood's biggest stars, including Julia Roberts, Will Ferrell, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Jodie Foster, Jimmy Fallon, Neil Patrick Harris, Coldplay, Julianne Moore and Jack Black, will also appear, along with John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Michelle Rodriguez, Gwyneth Paltrow, "Voice" coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Pharrell Williams, Richard Gere, Jennifer Garner, Keith Urban, John Mellencamp, One Direction, Zac Efron, Helen Mirren, Robert Pattinson, Liam Neeson and Nick Cannon. Sienna Miller, Paul Rudd, Olivia Wilde, Eddie Redmayne, Benedict Cumberbatch, Sir Ian McKellen, Orlando Bloom, Leslie Mann, January Jones and Simon Cowell will also be joining the fun, as well as Matt Lauer, Carson Daly, Nick Offerman, Elizabeth Banks, Chris Pine, Jeff Goldblum, Billy Eichner, Martin Short, Laura Linney, Anna Kendrick, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, John Michael Higgins, Bill and Melinda Gates, Stephen Merchant, Naomi Campbell, Anna Camp, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Yvette Nicole Brown, Retta, Natalie Morales, Danny Pudi and Rob Huebel.

In addition, Matt LeBlanc, Hugh Bonneville, Dame Diana Rigg, Kyle MacLachlan, Rose Byrne, Elisabeth Moss, "Saturday Night Live" cast members Jay Pharaoh, Colin Jost and Michael Che, Hoda Kotb and Gilbert Gottfried are slated to appear, along with Cheryl Burke, Nicole Scherzinger, Jeff Dye and Australian comedy sketch trio SketchShe.

The star-studded event for charity will also feature "Game of Thrones" cast members Kit Harington, Peter Dinklage, Iwan Rheon, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Emilia Clarke, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Mark Addy, John Bradley, Rose Leslie, Alfie Allen and Charlotte Hope. "Orange Is the New Black" cast members Dascha Polanco, Samira Wiley, Yael Stone, Selenis Leyva, Lea DeLaria, Adrienne C. Moore and Jackie Cruz will also be part of the charity special.

A sketch film documenting the creation of "Game of Thrones: The Musical," written by Coldplay and featuring a number of the HBO show's cast members, will be one of the many highlights on "Red Nose Day," along with John Mellencamp and Keith Urban performing "Pink Houses."

The benefit event will also feature short appeal films that shed light on those in need. Jack Black travelled to Africa to visit children in Uganda living on the streets, witnessing firsthand the devastating effects of preventable diseases at a hospital. Blake Shelton visited a mobile health clinic in Los Angeles that is providing free, life-changing care to underprivileged children. In Peru, Michelle Rodriguez met children having to work to survive and saw how projects there are helping them get the education they need.

Nick Cannon will kick off the festivities with "Red Nose Day Danceathon with Nick Cannon," streaming live on NBC.com beginning Wednesday, May 20. The "America's Got Talent" host will attempt to dance nonstop for 24 hours in honor of the inaugural Red Nose Day celebration in the United States, leading into the "Red Nose Day" telecast on Thursday, May 21. Streamed live from the NBC Experience Store at Rockefeller Center in New York City, the day of dance will be filled with guest DJs and musicians, celebrity drop-ins and a variety of dance acts and troupes. Viewers can support Cannon's endeavor through sponsorship and donation.

The money raised during Red Nose Day will be used to fund programs that address the immediate needs of children and young people living in poverty in the U.S. and internationally in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The money will be split between domestic and international poverty issues. The pre-selected charity partners are Boys & Girls Clubs of America; charity: water; Children's Health Fund; Feeding America; Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance; the Global Fund; LIFT; National Council of La Raza; National Urban League; Oxfam America; Save the Children and United Way.

In the U.K., Red Nose Day has been a tradition for 30 years and is an inspiring cultural phenomenon that unites people from all walks of life in the interest of saving and changing lives across the globe. In the continued spirit of raising money to help lift children out of poverty, NBC is once again set to celebrate Red Nose Day with a two-hour television event. The second annual Red Nose Day special will air Thursday, May 26, 9:00 - 11:00 p.m. ET. Top comedy and musical performances from A-list celebrities and artists around the world will once again raise money to help lift children out of poverty. With a focus on driving change through powerful entertainment, M&M'S® is returning as a presenting media sponsor, while Walgreens plans to serve as the exclusive retailer of the emblematic noses in the U.S.

Money raised during Red Nose Day will be used to fund programs that address the immediate needs of children and young people living in poverty in the U.S. and throughout the world. Money will be split between domestic and international poverty issues. Last year's inaugural Red Nose Day special raised over $23 million and was split among 12 domestic and international charities. The charities for the 2016 Red Nose Day special will be announced at a later date. Red Nose Day has been an enormously popular event in the U.K. for 30 years and is an inspiring cultural phenomenon that unites people from all walks of life in the interest of saving and changing lives across the globe.

Celebrating Red Nose Day for the third year in a row, NBC has anchored a special night of programming on Thursday, May 25 with Chris Hardwick hosting the "The Red Nose Day Special" at 10:00 p.m. In addition, Academy Award winner Julia Roberts and other stars partake in Red Nose Day-themed programming throughout the night that both entertains viewers and gives them an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of kids in need.

"Celebrity Ninja Warrior for Red Nose Day" at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT is followed by a very special 9:00 p.m. episode of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls for Red Nose Day," with Roberts venturing to Kenya, leading up to NBC's third annual "The Red Nose Day Special," hosted by Hardwick at 10:00 p.m. The three shows are seamlessly tied together in celebration of Red Nose Day, with calls to action to donate throughout each of the three programs.

Throughout the night, viewers will be entertained, learn about the programs supported by Red Nose Day that are helping to change the lives of children, and have the opportunity to support the charity through calls to donate, making a real difference for kids in need here in the U.S. and around the world.

The one-hour "Red Nose Day Special," hosted by comedian Chris Hardwick, will be broadcast live from Rockefeller Plaza in New York City in support of the Red Nose Day charity campaign. Stars appearing include Ben Affleck, Jack Black, Orlando Bloom, Yvette Nicole Brown, Bryan Cranston, Patrick Dempsey, Akbar Gbajabiamila, Bear Grylls, Mindy Kaling, Mark Hamill, Matt Iseman, DJ Khaled, Matt Lauer, Rachel McAdams, Seth Meyers, Bobby Moynihan, Julia Roberts, Al Roker, Paul Rudd, Dax Shepard, Ben Stiller and Kenan Thompson, along with "This Is Us" cast members Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Chris Sullivan, Susan Kelechi Watson and Ron Cephas Jones.

Shedding light on kids in need, Julia Roberts visits Africa and Paul Rudd visits rural Maine to show how children's lives can be changed and saved by Red Nose Day funds.

The special will also feature "Red Nose Day Actually," the much-anticipated reunion sequel to "Love Actually," catching up with cast members from the beloved holiday film, including Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, Laura Linney, Liam Neeson and Bill Nighy.

In support of the Red Nose Day campaign, iconic buildings across the country will light up in red on May 25, including the Empire State Building in New York City, the Willis Tower in Chicago, the U.S. Bank Tower in Los Angeles, the Miami Tower in Miami, the Bank of America Plaza in Dallas, the Orlando Eye in Orlando, and the WoodmenLife Tower in Omaha. The Terminal Tower in Cleveland will turn red on May 24.

Red Nose Day is a fundraising campaign run by the nonprofit organization Comic Relief Inc., a registered U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity. Money raised supports programs that ensure children in need are safe, healthy and educated, both in the United States and in some of the poorest communities around the world.

Beneficiaries of Red Nose Day grants include charity organizations such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America; charity: water; Children's Health Fund; Feeding America; Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance; National Council of La Raza; Save the Children; and The Global Fund.

Red Nose Day launched in America in 2015 and, with generous support from millions of Americans and many outstanding partners, has raised more than $60 million in its first two years in the U.S. People across the country are encouraged to support the cause by coming together and wearing their red noses, organizing fundraising events and watching and donating during the night of Red Nose Day programming on NBC. The campaign's iconic red noses are sold exclusively at Walgreens and Duane Reade locations nationwide.
