Episode 1
The mentors sample the cooking of 25 hopefuls - ranging from talented amateurs to professionals from some of Britain's best restaurants.

Episode 2
Nigella Lawson and her rival mentors coach their contestants to make the best prawn cocktail. And tension reaches boiling point as a contestant faces elimination from the show.

Episode 3
Only 11 cooks now remain. This time the challenge is all about comfort food, with dishes ranging from ginger and black pepper rice pudding to posh cheese on toast.

Episode 4
The cooks prepare some spiced sweet dishes for guest chef Yotam Ottolenghi, then serve up the spiciest spoonfuls they can muster to Nigella, Anthony and Ludo - with some eye-watering results.

Episode 5
The cooks keep it in the family, making recipes passed down through the generations. The guest chef Ruth Rogers sets the immunity challenge.

Episode 6
The show goes to chocolate heaven, as the cooks are challenged to produce sensational sweet and savoury spoonfuls containing chocolate, ranging from chocolate cupcakes to chocolate and Stilton tarts.

Episode 7
Simon Rogan, the chef behind L'enclume, one of Britain's best restaurants, shows the cooks how one man's trash is another man's treasure, as he challenges them to cook fantastic food using leftovers.

Episode 8
To progress to the semi-final, the six remaining cooks have to prove they can make exceptional food from the finest cuts of meat and from the 'forgotten cuts', like bone marrow and tripe.

Episode 9
The theme in this edition is simplicity and the queen of simply sublime food, Angela Hartnett, is the guest chef everyone wants to impress. Who can keep it simple and reach The Taste Grand Final?

Episode 10
It's the final, and the remaining four cooks battle it out to make heavenly champagne canapés. Who will be the champion of The Taste? The guest chef is Pierre Koffman.
