The Tower of Whispers - Season 1

Season 1

Lu Yingying, the daughter of the Minister of Rites, grew up in a harmonious family and lived a blissful first half of her life. But when her parents were persecuted by villains, her fate plummeted—she was forced into becoming the concubine of the tyrant Jun Che. Later, in an attempt to protect her sworn brother Yan Hui, she was mistakenly killed by Jun Che. Unwillingness and regret lingered in her heart—until fortune gave her another chance: she was reborn before all the tragedies ever happened. Determined to change her family's destiny, Lu Yingying transformed from the gentle, obedient noblewoman of the capital into someone resilient and decisive, overcoming crisis after crisis she had once faced in her previous life. Just as she thought she could finally take control of her fate, she encountered Jun Che again—but this time, before he became the tyrant. At this point, Jun Che was merely a slave. Carrying her hatred from the past life, Lu Yingying bought him for revenge, only to soon discover that he was backed by hidden powers and far from simple. When Lu Yingying tried to drive him away to avoid trouble, another crisis struck her family. Facing an even stronger enemy, she changed her mind: she decided to keep Jun Che by her side and wield him like a sharp blade to seek revenge. Jun Che, for his own reasons, had no choice but to conceal his true identity and temporarily reside in the Lu household. Bound together by separate motives, they fought side by side time and again. Through these battles, Jun Che grew increasingly captivated by Lu Yingying—drawn to her courage, moved by her kindness, until the heartless beast began to feel the stirrings of affection. On the other hand, Lu Yingying never expected that as she came to know him more deeply, she would fall for the very tyrant she once hated to the bone. And so, their fates became inextricably entwined…
