The Vardys - Season 1

The series begins with Jamie's final, emotional match for Leicester City, a fairy-tale farewell capped with his 200th goal and the search for his new club begins. There are offers from clubs wanting to sign the 38-year-old striker, but none are in England and on transfer deadline day Jamie has to decides between clubs in the Netherlands or Italy.

After an emotional farewell to their home and family in the UK, Becky and the kids make the move to Italy, taking everything with them - including their dogs and grand piano. But Italian life is immediately complicated, with a frustrated Jamie injured and unable to play but desperate to start scoring goals for his new club. The kids love their new Italian home but struggle being away from friends.

Despite Jamie's best efforts on the pitch, his new Italian side are struggling to get a win and stay out of the relegation zone. Things go from bad to worse when the Vardys' lakeside villa is dramatically burgled, leaving the whole family on edge and considering whether to return home. On a whistle-stop trip back to the UK, Becky and Jamie stage an elaborate photoshoot but also find a quiet moment to make the big decision - whatever happens with the football, they will bring the kids home.
