Couple Natalie and Josh met on Instagram and are determined to win at all costs. She sings and he is a junior doctor – let's hope it's her skills that required and not his!

Episode 2
Having met on Facebook a year ago, office manager Tommy and singer Lydia's relationship is about to face its most extreme test to date as the Atlantic comes between them. Body-pumping policemen Stephen and Adrian normally chase criminals. But they have never faced a baddie like this before.

Episode 3
Best friends, fellow clubbers and mother and daughter team Debbie and Mae do everything together and never fall out. Will The Wave prove their undoing? Slim twins Gareth and Mason have signed up for a show where one must plunge into the cold ocean and potentially carry lead weights. What on earth could go wrong for the London students?!

Episode 4
Father Dave and Son Chris describe themselves as "the most competitive family you will ever meet." Which is just as well when they come to realise that having done a triathlon and an iron man is plain sailing compared to The Wave.

Episode 5
Sophie reckons Greg is "the one" which means it's good timing for an ultimate test of his character. He can probably survive the mother-in-law but how about mother nature?

EastEnders
Set in the East End of London, the show focuses on the tensions between love and family with stories ranging from hard-hitting social issues, to personal, human tragedies. And there's plenty of funny moments too.
Classic characters old and new across thousands of episodes have shared a drink in The Queen Vic, shed tears of despair or joy, sat on Arthur's bench in the Square... and at some point or other they probably crossed paths with Ian Beale.
