The Yes Experiment - Season 1

Season 1

Episodes

Jarvis
Eleven-year-old Jarvis longs for more independence and responsibility. His mother Stacey, who refers to herself as a ‘single mum by choice', thinks every day for Jarvis is a ‘yes day'.
That is, as long as the household adheres to ‘The Pyramid': adults at the top, kids at the bottom. When the structure of the household flips for a day, how will Jarvis treat his new found power, and how will Stacey cope when the answer to every question has to be ‘yes'?

Theo and Oscar
Drew and Lucy feel they have given their boys Theo and Oscar a little too much control in their household, so much so that a common question is "who is the boss in this house?". On the flip side, their sons think they say no to everything, in particular the addition of a pet to their family.
When given the chance to take part in The Yes Experiment, the boys waste no time in asking to foster a dog to show how responsible they can be. The real challenge of the day will be convincing their parents whether or not the puppy can stay for good.

The Tanna Tribe
Candice and Patrick are the head of the Tanna Tribe. Kyjuan, Dai-Shaun, Mahiya and Zendaya make up the rest of the family, who are no strangers to sharing their lives. Candice's popular Instagram page sees the family creating content for a legion of followers.
When the four children are put in charge for the day there is hesitation but also excitement as the parents figure out a new dynamic where they aren't the ones behind the camera.

Elvis, Hemingway and Sinatra
Sarah-Jane and Paul have travelled the world and taken every opportunity placed in front of them, so there isn't much that they wouldn't say ‘yes' to if their kids asked them. This Yes Experiment is more about letting the kids get outside of their comfort zone.
They know their parents care about their grades and eating healthy, but when the kids are allowed to control their household for a day, what they ask for might just surprise their parents after all.

Georgia and Evie
Mikhalea is single mum to three daughters. Her eldest daughter has opted out of The Yes Experiment so she is left with her two youngest to run the household for the day. Mikhalea is the organiser of her family, she books the tickets, makes the plans and makes sure everyone is where they need to be – but she doesn't actively participate.
Georgia and Evie have lots of plans up their sleeves to change that when they take their mum to Gumbuya World for the day and Mikhalea learns that she can be so much more than just a bystander.

Sezal
Sezal has a pretty typical relationship with her Mum, Jas expects her to study, do well at school and keep her room neat and tidy. Her Dad on the other hand is far more lenient, he's the fun Dad, his problem is that he doesn't know how to say ‘No'.
When Sezal is given the keys to the kingdom for a day it's time to get Mum firmly out of her comfort zone in more ways than one.

Sofia
Single Dad Ralph sports a mullet, rides a Harley and spends his days driving trucks, from appearances alone he seems pretty tough. That is, until it comes to his 6-year-old Sofia. After a rough couple of years during Covid, Sofia saw the dissolution of her parents' marriage and now shares her time between two households.
Ralph and Sofia share an amazing bond but just what does she have in store for her dad during The Yes Experiment?

Pickle and Meatball
Max and Gracie, aka Pickle and Meatball are the deliciously entertaining children of Loz and Cheng. At first the duo aren't quite sure what to do with their new found power. A spoonful of Vegemite and ice-cream looks like the parents are going to get off pretty easy.
But once they start really leading the day, they'll have some high requests of their parents that will lead to sweaty palms, shaky legs and even a trip to outer space before the kids end their day by turning their backyard into a waterpark adventure.

The Paceys
Meet the Pacey family: Chris is Dad to Miles, Austin, Minnie and Floyd who he has around half the time, but that doesn't mean it isn't still a full-time job.
When Chris bravely agrees to take part in The Yes Experiment he knows that his kids will push him to his limits, however he didn't count of them tailoring part of their day to include something special for him too.

Harper, Levi and Violet
She's put nine families up to the task of The Yes Experiment this season, but now it is Emmaline's turn to hand over the power of her household to her three children Harper, Levi and Violet.
The kids are excited to push Emmaline and Kenny's buttons all day as they set themselves up for the biggest day of fun ever. How will Emmaline cope being on the opposite side of The Yes Experiment?
