Adam is juggling his personal life with a hectic job on the labour ward, where he is faced with a racist mother-to-be and an irritating frequent flyer.
He meets Shruti, an inexperienced SHO who is struggling to find her feet in Obs & Gynae. He eventually makes it to his best friend's stag do, but is immediately called back to the hospital to cover a staff shortage, and forced to abandon his boyfriend, Harry. On arriving back at work, Adam discovers that he has made a terrible mistake.
Episode 2
Still reeling from his mistake, Adam becomes increasingly difficult to be around. While he clashes with a colleague over a patient, he tries to make amends at home.
Episode 3
Adam and Shruti struggle to help vulnerable patients, while a politician visiting the ward makes everyone's lives harder. Adam makes some big steps in his personal life.
Episode 4
Adam's mistake comes back to haunt him, and he tries desperately to dig himself out of trouble. Shruti is excited to find a promising new mentor.
Episode 5
It's the day of Adam's engagement party, but his work stress is becoming increasingly overwhelming. Shruti tries a new tack, but doesn't get the outcome she hoped.
Episode 6
Heartbroken Adam does his first shift at a posh private hospital and finds that it's not all it's cracked up to be. Shruti has a challenging night shift on the NHS Ward.
Episode 7
A grieving Adam faces a tribunal over his malpractice, and is no longer sure if he can go on in medicine. Reconnecting with Harry, he tries to decide where his future lies.
