As the father and first leader of the Edo shogunate, he built the foundations for a period without war that lasted 260 years. From the struggles of his youth to the great battle in his later years that determined the fate of the country, as well as the secrets he employed to build the great city of Edo, we peer into the samurai wisdom of Ieyasu.
