The story of how the doomed ocean liner's wreckage was discovered in 1985 by a team of US and French scientists and explorers. The first episode recounts several unsuccessful attempts to locate the wreck before Texan oil billionaire Jack Grimm used his money to fund the latest sonar and camera technology to attempt to find the ship.
Episode 2
Scientist and explorer Robert Ballard uses the cover of US Navy missions looking for lost nuclear submarines to seek out the wreck. The team join forces with French researchers and their cutting-edge tech to scour the ocean floor. Eventually part of the wreck is spotted, and the mysteries of the Titanic are uncovered.
