The town of Newport, Rhode Island, where the 1974 film-adaptation of "The Great Gatsby" was filmed, celebrated the 100th anniversary of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic American novel by welcoming the return of actor Sam Waterston who shared behind-the-scenes stories with the community. Reporting for TODAY, NBC's Anne Thompson sits down with Waterston and also meets with Newport locals who found their way into the movie. NBC News medical contributor Dr. Natalie Azar and TODAY nutrition and health expert Joy Bauer stop by Studio 1A to break down everything you need to know about intermittent fasting, including how it works, the effects it can have on the body, who should avoid it and more. In Tampa, Florida's historic Ybor City, hundreds of wild chickens are seen freely roaming the streets. The chickens are protected by a decades-old Tampa law that declares the entire city a bird sanctuary, making it illegal to hunt, kill or hurt them in any way. Reporting for TODAY, NBC's George Solis shares an inside look at how residents are now creating foundations and securing funding to protect their wild mascots. Miles "Deuce" McBride joins TODAY to talk about his new children's book called "Deuce: The Champion of Friendship." He opens up about the themes in the book and being able to read the book to his newborn daughter. He also discusses what it is like playing on the Knicks, working under a new coach and more. Psychiatrist Dr. Samantha Boardman joins TODAY to talk about how embodying confidence can help you step into your power. She also shares tips to help people boost their confidence, including dressing to impress, owning your ideas and more.
