About one in ten people have a form of hyperhidrosis, a disorder that causes excessive sweating. Some say the condition makes it difficult for them to go outside during the summer. Another disorder causes strong body odor. People who suffer from it worry about offending others and societal expectations about cleanliness and personal hygiene add to this anxiety.
