At work the head nurse has long felt an antipathy towards Natasha, and after Natasha finds her stealing medicine, the nurse wants revenge. Soon she succeeds in this: she frames Natasha to have stolen medicine, and she is forced to resign. Lera nearly dies from an overdose at a nightclub. Her friend, club owner Arthur, finds a nurse's phone number in Lera's mobile and calls Natasha for help.

Natasha and her mother are completely without money when the bill for the hospital comes. Natasha continues to visit Lera, she offers money for the services of a nurse, but Natasha refuses. Natasha and her father's current wife, Olga, manage to get their father treated for alcoholism. Natasha meets her former patient, Vitaly Sorokin. Meanwhile, in search of work, Natasha turns to Arthur.

Olga persuades her husband to flee the clinic. Natasha comes to her father's home and tries to persuade him to continue treatment. When Olga returns, a fight breaks out between them, leading to a murder. The investigation is given to Natasha's friend, Investigator Sorokin, and Olga confesses. However, Arthur becomes Olga's lawyer, and finds a way to frame Natasha.

Sorokin is convinced that Natasha is innocent, but all the evidence against her. Meanwhile, Lera, guessing the causes of the incident, is trying to help her friend. She goes to Olga and secretly records her, giving the tapes to Sorokina. This leads to the murder of Olga, by Arthur, whose career became threatened. Sorokin begins an investigation on this, while a romance sparks with Natasha.
