The Horse Thief
April 27, 1880 - Lawyer Fred Griffin wants to take over the Indian land so he can then sell it to the railroad, so he hires Jess Buckhorn to stir up Indian trouble. When Buckhorn fails to kill Little Hawk, a horse thief, before he rides into Tombstone, Griffin then tries to stir up lynch talk. To save Little Hawk from a lynch mob, Clay and his two deputies take him to Father Miguel at the mission. Little Hawk asks Father Miguel for sanctuary and claims he was only moving the six horses to better pasture. However, to make his escape, Little Hawk shoots Dexter, one of Clay's deputies, and knocks out Father Miguel.
