A Dish for a New Decade

In the season debut, Host Eden Grinshpan and Head Judge Mark McEwan welcome 12 chefs from every corner of the country to compete in the most prestigious cooking competition in the country, battling it out for the biggest prize in Top Chef Canada history and the coveted title of Canada's Top Chef. In the season's first Quickfire Challenge the chefs must create their "Desert Island Dish" – the one dish they would want to eat every day if they were stranded on a desert island for the rest of their life. In a Top Chef Canada first, the chefs with the best four dishes will earn a game changing special advantage. Later in the Elimination Challenge, the chefs draw inspiration from the dawn of a new decade, tapping into the pulse of culinary trends to create dishes that speak to the future of food. At Judges Table, reality sinks in when the chefs face the first elimination of the season.

The Ark
The Ark takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race. The first of these missions on a spacecraft known as Ark One encounters a catastrophic event causing massive destruction and loss of life. With more than a year left to go before reaching their target planet, a lack of life-sustaining supplies and loss of leadership, the remaining crew must become the best versions of themselves to stay on course and survive.

Tulsa King
Tulsa King follows New York mafia capo Dwight "The General" Manfredi, just after he is released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a "crew" from a group of unlikely characters, to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that, to him, might as well be another planet.

Family Guy
Family Guy follows Peter Griffin the endearingly ignorant dad, and his hilariously offbeat family of middle-class New Englanders in Quahog, RI. Lois is Peter's wife, a stay-at-home mom with no patience for her family's antics. Then there are their kids: 18-year-old Meg is an outcast at school and the Griffin family punching bag; 13-year-old Chris is a socially awkward teen who doesn't have a clue about the opposite sex; and one-year-old Stewie is a diabolically clever baby whose burgeoning sexuality is very much a work in progress. Rounding out the Griffin household is Brian the family dog and a ladies' man who is one step away from AA.
