Top Chef: Just Desserts - Season 2

Season 2
Episodes

Showpiece
Fourteen top pastry chefs come together for season two of Top Chef: Just Desserts to determine who is the sweetest chef of all. For their first Elimination Challenge, the chefs need to bring out their A-game when they're tasked with creating a showpiece based off of a popular fairytale story.

Sweet Symphony
To celebrate the opening of the 9th Season Orchestra of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the chefs must work in teams to create a cake experience in three movements to be served to the symphony members and patrons after their performance.

Villa Rosa
Bigger isn't always better -- this week's Quickfire challenges the chefs to develop a bold and complex flavor within a teeny tiny space. The winner will be placed in the voting pool to become one of Extra's new "Dessert Delight" flavors. For the Elimination Challenge, the remaining 12 cheftestants must channel their inner diva and create the ultimate "dessert-scape" spread for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump, who is throwing a lavish party for her fabulous friends.

Pure Imagination
It's the 40th anniversary of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and to celebrate, the chefs will work as one team to create a Pure Imagination Room where everything in the room has to be edible. Original cast members of the movie will be on hand to see if the chefs have created a land of sweet dreams.

Make a Splash
This week's Quickfire tasks the chefs with creating their own candy bar -- naming and packaging it. Then, the chefs must beat the heat as they make frozen treats suitable for cooling off on a hot summer day. To win this challenge, they must also brand their treat and create their own uniforms for a complete experience for the patrons at the Water Slide Park.

Sabotage
The remaining pastry chefs will be given a "License to Ill" as they raid the first ever "Top Chef Beastie Boys Pantry," where they must use the ingredients, named after the band's popular songs, to create a Beastie Boys-inspired dessert appropriate for a street art event.

Death by Chocolate
Time to make the donuts. This week's Quickfire Challenge will have the chefs selecting perfect pairings of coffee and donuts, while the Elimination Challenge will result in death… by chocolate. The cheftestants must create a chocolate showpiece under a veil of secrecy.

Step Right Up
This week's Elimination Challenge has the remaining chefs clowning around at the Top Chef Carnival where they have to upgrade classic carnival cuisine into something suitable for a fine dining audience.

Dessert in Disguise
Don't judge a book by its cover in this week's penultimate episode as the chefs must create a dessert that tastes like one, but doesn't look the way it tastes.

Finale
It all comes down to this -- the final three chefs will compete in a Top Chef version of the Prestigious Meilleurs Ouvriers de France Competition -- which is the World Series of Competitions in the pastry world. Only one can take the title of Top Chef: Just Desserts.
