Episode 29

An estimated 90 per cent of hit-and-run drivers are never tracked down. In this episode, officers rush to the scene of a fatal road traffic collision on a country road in the Peak District. A BMW has overtaken and crashed head on with a car with a mother and son inside. Crash detectives investigate and a manhunt is launched to find two runaway suspects who fled the scene. And cops respond to another collision. On arrival, emergency services are treating a male claiming to be a passenger, so the search is on for a fleeing driver. It becomes clear that whoever was driving wasn't wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car through the back window and onto a grass verge.
