Episode 26

There are over 40,000 assaults on police officers every year and they are at their most vulnerable when they are single crewed. Alone and often outnumbered, they are 50% more likely to suffer an injury than when they are working in pairs. In this episode, a routine stop on a car suspected of having no insurance or MOT attracts the attention of a man from an on-looking house. He pulls out a handgun. The officer has to drop his questioning of the driver and focus on the armed man until back-up arrives. And four suspected thieves go on the run in a suspected cloned car after failing to stop for a lone officer. Other officers arrive on scene to help look for the runaways who have abandoned a car with suspected stolen tools inside.
