In the men's event, Spain's Mario Mola came out on top in 2016 before going on to win the world title. This year, he faces competition from Rio 2016 Olympic bronze medallist Henri Schoeman and fellow South African Richard Murray on the new Abu Dhabi course, but this trio of talent face a tough test as five-time World Champion Javier Gomez returns to the field.
