Tropiques criminels - Season 7

Season 7
Targeted by an act of vengeance, Mélissa endures a traumatic ordeal from which she struggles to break free. Unable to resist the urge to chase the risk and adrenaline she once experienced, she finds herself—despite her own resistance—spiraling into the world of gambling. This addiction threatens to cost her dearly—everything from her upcoming marriage to her home. Gaëlle, conversely, inherits a substantial sum of money following the death of her biological father—a man she never knew existed. Both revelations hit like an earthquake, bringing with them consequences that upend her way of life—until she begins investigating Mélissa's increasingly erratic behavior.
Episodes

Plage N°6
The crime scene has been scrubbed clean, leaving them with few clues. There is no doubt: this time, they are dealing with a professional. Alongside their investigation, they welcome an officer from the IGPN, who has arrived to lend a hand in tracking down Lebrac's killer. The leads grow increasingly muddled as the investigation proceeds, until Phil puts forward a hypothesis: the two murders might be linked.

Sainte-Marie
Mélissa still bears the scars of her confrontation with Clémence. Craving a rush, she unconsciously gives in to taking unnecessary risks—to the point of alarming Gaëlle, though the latter, too absorbed in her mother's revelations, struggles to even notice. It is with these vulnerabilities that our two investigators embark on a new case: the mysterious death of the owner of a rum bar—a tragedy in which family history intertwines with the deceased's personal development sessions with a coach.

Trois Rivières
Our investigators follow in the footsteps of Paul Gauguin, whose time in Martinique resurfaces in the wake of a crime—the murder of a painter who had come to immerse himself in the work of his master. Meanwhile, Mélissa rediscovers a thrill she thought she had lost, taking part in Laurent's clandestine poker games. Alerted by Phil, Gaëlle and Aurélien sense that Mélissa is hiding something from them and decide to tail her before it is too late.

Morne Blanc
The murder of an internationally renowned pianist rocks the island. Visiting as part of a mentorship program, the virtuoso was concealing a secret affair with one of her young students—twenty-five years her junior. Between this forbidden love and the ambitions her presence stirred up, the motives behind her demise are numerous. Meanwhile, Gaëlle notices troubling signs in Mélissa: nausea, sudden cravings, emotional roller coasters… All clues that, this time, may well herald an unexpected promise.

Rocher Jacob
The lifeless body of a funeral home director is discovered in a cemetery. Since taking the reins of the business, the company had experienced a meteoric rise—achieved through methods that were far from universally accepted. Meanwhile, Arnaud, overjoyed by Mélissa's news, is already envisioning his future role as a father. Mélissa, however, remains plagued by doubts. As for Gaëlle, a minor fender-bender with a clergyman turns into love at first sight—and she is determined not to let this chance slip away.

La prairie
A renowned fashion designer is found murdered in his studio. Against the advice of her colleagues, Mélissa insists on taking part in the investigation. She is pregnant, certainly—but not incapacitated. As the investigation stalls, a discovery breathes new life into the case: the victim had reportedly been warned—in minute detail—of his own death... by a famous psychic on the island. Meanwhile, Gaëlle refuses to let go of Jason. To stay close to him, she throws herself into the life of his church.

La digue
Aurélien's cousin is found critically injured in her banana plantation by her son. Her employee, however, did not survive the attack. The investigation promises to be delicate: Aurélien is personally affected, and Mélissa—still shaken by her recent miscarriage—is only just getting back on her feet. Etcheverry decides to bring Thaïs onto the case to lend a hand to Mélissa and Gaëlle.

Guardhouse
Arnaud abruptly leaves Mélissa's house. Jason, for his part, has refused to speak to Gaëlle since the night they spent together. At that very moment, the lifeless body of a member of a yole team is discovered on a beach. Mélissa and Gaëlle have their hands full—both personally and professionally—as they gradually uncover a conch trafficking ring and the victim's toxic past.
