Aboriginal detective Toni Alma is 35 and has her life all worked out. Living in Alice Springs, she's got a great job, a terrific female boss and mentor, who has her marked out for big things.

Episode 2
News of Mariah's death has reached the community. Mariah's family gather on the outskirts of town for Sorry Business. With Nick by her side, Toni observes the ceremony from a distance.

Episode 3
Laying on a bed in the health clinic, Brendan is being rehydrated via a drip. Bereft, Viv hovers. Nick brings the focus back to the investigation, and Brendan tells them he was with Keithy all night.

Episode 4
Samuel returns to Perdar Theendar with Keithy's body and Toni confronts Samuel. They know Keithy stole the sacred paintings and gave them to Mariah to sell, but they don't know who found out.
