The showdown is set to eclipse Nixon and Kennedy, and become one of the highest rating political TV events in history. The stakes couldn't be higher; both candidates take to the stage knowing their performance may well determine who will become the next President of the United States. Billionaire and reality TV star Trump takes on Clinton at Hofstra University, Hempstead, New York. Over 90 minutes, the candidates will debate major topics, selected by a moderator. They have two minutes to talk about each topic and also have a chance to respond to each other. Episode 2
Channel 4 presents live coverage of the second of three US presidential debates. Over 80 million people watch the first bout between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, making it the most watched debate in American history. With the two candidates almost neck and neck in the polls, it's all on the line again with the second encounter taking place at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. This time the candidates will be taking questions from the audience as well as discussing topics selected by the moderator. It's set to be another raucous showdown in the race for the presidency.
