After a tsunami hits Thailand, the surviving villagers and tourists in Khao Lak move to higher ground and medical treatment while searching for missing family and friends. Meanwhile, bureaucrats struggle to provide assistance, government begins a cover up, and a journalist tries to make sense of it all.

Tsunami: The Aftermath, Part 2
Nick is sidetracked from the survivors' stories as he delves deeper into the cover up, and finds out why the hotel executive is really here; Ian and Susie continue the search for their daughter, but Susie's attachment to a young survivor worries Ian; Than struggles to rebuild his village; and Kim must make a heartbreaking decision in the face of her government's bureaucracy.
