Unai Emery's men have won their first two Champions League home games, impressively defeating both Bayern Munich and Bologna. They now face Italian giants Juventus, who ended Villa's reign as European champions by knocking them out over two legs in 1983.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, beat Liverpool in the 2018 and 2022 Champions League finals, but the Reds overcame the Spaniards to win the European Cup final in 1981.
Wednesday night also features a crucial game for Celtic against Club Brugge, while Manchester City and Arsenal both play on Tuesday.

City won their maiden Champions League title in 2023, but Pep Guardiola's side have been beset by injuries this season. They travel to Turin to face two-time winners Juventus, who won the only previous meetings between the two sides in this competition, back in 2015.
Arsenal have never won this tournament, although they reached the quarter-finals for the first time in 14 years in the 2023/24 season. They also last met Monaco in the Champions League nine years ago, losing 3-1 at the Emirates before winning the return fixture.
