Valentina López is a young and beautiful professional boxer nicknamed "La Monita". From a young age, she has learned to overcome adversity through courage and hard work after her mother abandoned her and Doña Nieves took her in, along with Beto, her longtime boyfriend and trainer.

After injuring her hand in a fight, Valentina has to find a job while she recovers, never imagining that becoming the secretary of Mauricio Sermeño, a former race car driver and owner of the real estate company Grupo Sermeño, would lead her to find love.

However, nothing will be easy for Valentina and Mauricio, as they are pursued by his fiancée, Constanza, and his villainous cousin, Jerónimo.
