The Jones family from Georgia want to move to Arizona and become self sufficient. They view three off-the-grid properties and have to choose one to stay in and test out. Sheri, hopes that her husband, Mark will embrace the unplugged life and spend more time with the family. But their teenage kids, Alexi and Aspen, aren't convinced. Will they decide to stay unplugged or plug back in?

California Dreaming
Jason, a stunt man, and his wife Chris Anne, a yoga instructor, are desperate to go off the grid and move to the high country in California and they are bringing along their two children, five year old Leilani Ashanti and Brighten Bella who's two. They want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Denver and turn an off-the-grid property into a healing retreat where people can come to relax and get close to the clean air and pristine countryside. Will they be able to handle the rigors of remote mountain life or high tail it back to the safety of the city?

They feel that life is passing them by and need to spend as much time as possible with their two children before they get old. They're looking for a remote property where they can hunt and grow fruit and vegetables. Will the family come together as one or will their teenage daughters escape back to the city?

The Cosgrove family wants to leave the bustle of Philadelphia behind for the remoteness of Northern Idaho. The trouble is their teenage daughters don't share their parents' vision. After viewing three off-the-grid homes, they choose one to try out. But can they adapt or will the outdoor life have their daughters pleading to go home?
