The traditional restaurant Djurgårdskällaren, run by the Löwanders, has not been left unmarked by the economical difficulties caused by the war. The oldest son Gustaf tries to solve the problems through illegal means.

The younger son Peter returns home with a Jewish refugee. Gustaf tries to hide the restaurants troubles, but Peter suspects that something's wrong. Nina and Calle meet again.

Jubileet
Peter confronts Gustaf about the restaurants impending economical problems. Nina and Calle hide that they're a couple. Helga and Gustaf organize a party celebrating the 50th anniversary of Djurgårdskällaren.

Hemligheter
Peter and Suzanne's engagement unsettles the family while the conflict with Ragnarsson escalates. Nina and Calle's relationship is pushed to its limits. Maggan brings Uno back home.

Ragnarsson blackmails Peter by threatening Suzanne. Calle makes a bad decision concerning Nina. Maggan and Lilly's relationship develops but is jeopardized.

Nina's self-medication takes a turn for the worse. The battle between Gustaf and Peter gets dirtier while Ester gets more involved with Peter. Calle's position at the restaurant takes a dramatic leap.
