Varg Veum becomes a witness when a young asylum-seeking girl dies in front of his eyes. But was it an accident, or was she murdered as a warning to the other girls? Together, Varg and Karin discover that the dead girl was involved in an operation where young asylum-seeking girls are cynically exploited.
