Varg Veum - Season 2

Veum is no longer working as a private investigator. He has a permanent job as a teacher; enjoying domestic calm with his new girlfriend Karin. "The Knife," a man Varg helped convict of murder, is released from prison, determined to take revenge on those who convicted him.

Karin wants her sister Siren, a prostitute, to come home to say goodbye to their terminally ill mother. Varg and Karin attract the wrong attention when they kidnap the high Siren to bring her home.

Varg Veum is summoned by inspector Hamre to a hostage drama on a farm outside Bergen. A married couple have been brutally murdered, and all evidence points to their foster son, 16 year old Jan Egil.

Varg Veum wakes up to a roar that shakes all of Bergen. It turns out to be a weapons depot outside the city that was blown up. Several people lose their lives, including Varg's best friend Even, who is soon named as the bomber. However, Wolf can't get it to work and starts digging into the dark secrets of the arms industry. His investigation takes him to Budapest where he becomes involved in a deadly game in what will be his biggest and most dangerous case ever. Varg soon realizes that he has taken water way over his head when his girlfriend Karin becomes the next victim.

Varg Veum becomes a witness when a young asylum-seeking girl dies in front of his eyes. But was it an accident, or was she murdered as a warning to the other girls? Together, Varg and Karin discover that the dead girl was involved in an operation where young asylum-seeking girls are cynically exploited. Time is running out, and Varg must find the person behind it before more young girls lose their lives.

Varg Veum becomes involved in the search for a missing pair of siblings in the neighborhoods of Bergen where prostitutes hang out. He sees the connection with a murder case investigated by a colleague, where the murder victim turns out to have a disturbingly close connection to the missing pair of siblings. In connection with this, life takes a new turn. Varg is going to be a father and in step with Karin's growing belly, the threats against him come one after another. The clues point to a very ruthless drug gang. Varg faces the most important case of his life, let the criminals go free or put his own and Karin's life in danger.
