Episode 1
In this programme, we join vet Iain Maclean as he's called out to a cow who has lost a lot of blood during calving, then he heads back to the surgery to castrate some cats. Next stop Blair Drummond Safari Park where the cats are a whole lot bigger and a whole lot wilder as park vet Colin Scott tends to the lions.

Episode 2
In this programme, we join vet Iain Maclean out on the farm in Wick as he treats a dairy cow with a twisted stomach and back in the surgery as he castrates and treats a feral cat. At Highland Wildlife Park the family of Scottish Wildcats has recently had three kittens. Vet Jane Harley dares to get up close to these fearsome animals to give them essential injections, but first they must be caught.

Episode 3
In this programme, we join vet Iain Maclean out on the farm in Wick as he tests cattle for TB. The next stop is the Highland Wildlife Park where vet Jane Harley tends to a reindeer's hooves and in Ardene Vet Hospital Graham Hunter operates to remove a tumour from a horse.

Episode 4
In North Uist, crofters are doing it for themselves before vet Geert Donkers visits to de-horn their cattle. In Wick, vet Iain Maclean tends to a grumpy cat and also faces the challenge of a difficult lambing, while at Highland Wildlife Park, vet Jane Harley tackles a stubborn markhor that doesn't want to play ball.

Episode 5
In this programme, the lionesses give the male lion at Blair Drummond Safari Park a hard time and vet Colin Scott gets called in to check things out. At Ardene House near Aberdeen, specialist vet Richard Coe visits to look at some pet dogs and Iain MacLean tends to a sickly three-day-old calf in Wick.

Episode 6
In this programme, vet Colin Scott gives the elephants a full examination at Blair Drummond Safari Park, which is no mean feat, and he checks out Poppy the sea lion's sore eye. In Wick, the busy calving season brings all kinds of problems for vet Iain MacLean and his colleagues.

Episode 7
In this programme, we follow a busy day in the life of vet David Buckland as he makes his weekly visit to Barra and tries to fit everything in before the ferry leaves for Uist that evening. At Ardene House near Aberdeen, vet Graham Hunter examines a lame horse that needs delicate and complex surgery.

Episode 8
In this programme, vet Colin Scott calls in the specialists from Edinburgh Zoo to help out, and Iain MacLean in Wick tends to a working collie dog and finds more than he expected.
