An arrogant driver in a jeep, noticing a police gas truck approaching, drives out of the yard at full speed and mutilates Artyom's car standing there. He turns to a friend of the traffic policeman Andrei with a request to find the impudent man. It turns out that the license plates on the jeep are fake, and the car itself was stolen. Mukhtar starts barking at stolen cars, but this secret is eventually revealed: the dog reacts to the smell of fresh paint. The operatives find a hangar where an underground car repair shop was set up to repaint cars and interrupt the numbers on them…
