Švaba i Ekser su dvojica momaka koji preživljavaju u tranzicionoj Srbiji „valjajući“ kradenu robu, najčešće parfeme sumnjivog porekla. Stalno su u dugovima i ivici propasti, čekajući da se desi neko čudo. Švaba je dobar momak, luzer po zanimanju koji u svojoj 33. godini još uvek živi sa roditeljima. Zadužio se kod lokalnog kriminalca Duleta Pacova, a svota koju duguje je ogromna. Dule Pacov sada želi svoj novac nazad i priča po gradu šta će sve da uradi Švabi ako mu ne vrati dug. Švaba zato nema mnogo izbora... Može ili da nađe novac ili da emigrira. Njegov drugar Ekser, ima 44 godine i takođe se bavi prodajom švercovane robe Duleta Pacova. Boluje od konstantne nestašice para i duguje tri meseca za kiriju. Međutim, i pored svih nevolja koje su ga snašle, Ekser je u svakom trenutku spreman da stane u odbranu svog prijatelja Švabe. Njih dvojica nose se sa svakodnevicom kako znaju i umeju, međutim, sve je bliži dan kada Švaba mora da vrati novac Duletu Pacovu, a rešenje problema nikada nije izgledalo tako daleko... A onda, Švabina mama Rada dobija sudski poziv iz Pančeva. Švabin tata Rođa veruje da se poziv odnosi na neki prekršaj koji je njihov sin napravio, ali majka odlučuje da odu do Pančeva i vide o čemu se radi. U pančevačkom sudu saopštavaju im da je Rada dobila u nasledstvo kuću u Barandi....
