Das verschwundene Mädchen
The pianist Lara Glanz returns to her hometown of Wäldern, shortly after her niece Magda disappears. Lara takes a job as a music teacher and begins to search for the girl on her own in her free time. The circumstances of Magda's disappearance seem more and more ghostly. Other incidents and residents of the sleepy village also puzzle Lara. For example, 16-year-old Aaron Wagner is a new addition to Lara's class. The introverted boy's mother seeks Lara's help. She is strangely worried that her divorced husband David is forcing the boy to perform strange rituals. Lara takes on the matter and quickly finds herself confronted with forces that cannot come from this world. Lara finds allies in the esoterically gifted alternative practitioner Dorothea Freiberg and the emeritus professor Rudolf Klein. At first, the three have no idea what demons they have to face, but then it becomes clear: Lara herself plays a central role in this mystery.

She speaks loving words, but moves through her former home as if remotely controlled. Lara's adopted sister Greta also seems to be interwoven with the mysterious events surrounding the forests.
