The series follows twelve teams of certified weather spotters and professional storm chasers as they self-shoot their close encounters with dangerous tornadoes. With no producers or camera crews, each team ventures into America's Tornado Alley, risking everything to spot tornados, warn people in harm's way, and help save lives when disaster strikes.

The series captures raw, harrowing encounters as storm chasers, outfitted with their own camera rigs and advanced weather tech, race into the American Midwest during one of the most active tornado seasons in decades.
