Longbow
Looks at the design, development and use of the longbow and the impact of it on Medieval warfare, with British archers using them to devastating effect in wars fought in France, and particularly at the battle of Crecy.

Lance
Looks at the development of the lance, from spears used by Norman knights in the 11th century into a larger item kept tucked under knights' arms and used as a weapon of impact. Considers its use in the warfare of the Middle Ages.

Shield
Looks at the development and use of the shield in Anglo-Saxon and Medieval warfare, including a reconstruction of a horseback charge at a shield wall and fighting with duelling shields.

Armour
Looks at the design and development of armour, particularly during Medieval times, and its use and effectiveness.
