Starlet Maxine X is looking to move away from fetish porn, and open her career to the bright lights of the mainstream. With her husband Scott by her side, she attends the Toronto Sex Show, hoping to draw big crowds and broader appeal. Despite a disappointing turnout, she manages to land her first break— the centerfold in an erotic magazine. Adult content producer Seven is getting set to launch his most ambitious project to date— a website that combines hip hop music with hardcore pornography. After a successful first shoot, Seven meets with a local DJ in search of matching rhythms. But when an accident on set threatens to derail his next filming session, he wonders whether his lofty plans can stay on track. On the heels of his win at the prestigious AVN Awards, Tommy Pistol is invited for a director’s audition with one of the fastest growing porn production companies in the world, Naughty America. He flies to Los Angeles, and undergoes an arduous week of tests and trials. To his delight, he gets the job, only to face the reality of a new life 2,000 miles from home. After years of performing in front of the camera, Chris Steele and Chad Donovan have transformed themselves into a behind-the-scenes porn industry power duo. They’ve recently taken an offer at L.A.’s Jet Set Films, one of North America’s leading producers of gay content. But as they pitch their first project to the Jet Set brass, creative vision takes a backseat to budget constraints. Are they in for less than they bargained for?

Having broken into Toronto’s adult industry as a successful marketing consultant, Jordan is now looking to expand with an interactive webcam site. But he’s having a hard time luring new talent, and turns to his friend Paris— herself an online temptress— for help recruiting. After several failed attempts, Jordan finally finds his girl. Looking for increased exposure in the mainstream of porn, voluptuous Maxine X takes pole dancing lessons in preparation for a gig at a Montreal strip club. Tensions run high as she prepares to take the stage. Luckily, her husband Scott is there to help her through it. Still, the question lingers: Is Maxine up to the task of reinventing herself? Seven is in Los Angeles for meetings and shoots in support of his new website, hiphopmeetsporn.com. Before getting to down to business, he makes good on a promise to set up his assistant, Gaya, with a meeting at a prominent adult talent agency. When the cameras finally roll, Seven is shocked when Gaya abandons her camera, and slips into the action. Chris and Chad are overjoyed when Jet Set owner, Nick, informs them that their new film, On Fire!, has been green-lit for production. While the good news is still settling in, Chris is promoted to the company’s head of operations. But all is not rosy in LA-LA land, as Chris struggles to balance his commitment to his co-director Chad with the demands of running a company.

Back home after a grueling tour of Quebec strip clubs, Maxine X and Scott set out to further establish her in the mainstream by producing their first non-fetish DVD. They fly in Vancouver’s Janessa Jordan for a steamy girl-on-girl scene, and then raise the stakes by filming a threesome that includes Scott, as well as Maxine’s close friend, Layla Lust. Tommy says goodbye to his hometown of Queen’s, New York, before settling into his new life as a director for L.A.’s Naughty America. On his first day at work, he shoots with porn-legend Kylie Ireland. But his dream job quickly turns sour, as the screenwriter haggles over the script. Can Tommy manage the clash of egos? Later, in Montreal, Seven searches for a signature girl for his website, and unearths the ripe-and-ready charms of model Charlie Chase. That same night, he meets with his ex-assistant Gaya, who doesn’t see eye-to-eye with him about what transpired back in LA.
