Gretna Green is one of the world's most famous wedding destinations, and has been host to thousands of runaway weddings over the generations. Wedding Town follows the brides and grooms who have chosen to marry or renew their vows in the town, and the people working behind the scenes to make each ceremony special. In the opening episode, theatre-lovers Lynn and Roger plan to get hitched but encounter some serious costume drama. Local entrepreneur Jackie plans to shake up Gretna Green's wedding scene by bringing a bit of Vegas magic to town, and fantasy fanatics Sam and Simon are hoping to pull off the wedding of their dreams: inspired by popular characters from Game of Thrones, their nuptials will be a cosplay ceremony to remember.
