The Block
LA's Fairfax Ave. is a mecca of cutting edge fashion designers, skateboarders and musicians. On "The Block" street-wear designer Mizzle; rappers Julian, Hawaii and Corey; and newly transplanted Tori are all reaching towards the future.

Crossed Wires
While Mizzle and his girlfriend, Felicia, juggle their careers and impending parenthood, "Chill Black Guys" rappers Julian, Hawaii and Corey travel to Austin's SxSW music festival. CBG are on the rocks and hope to reignite the band's past success.

Family Bonds
Former gang member Gabe struggles to leave his past behind him and make something out of his skills in BMX. When Mizzle's dad's dementia worsens, Mizzle agonizes over the decision to put him into a home. Tori, still new on the block, misses home.

Trouble Brewing
After a disappointing experience at SXSW, a frustrated Julian explores the possibility of going solo. Meanwhile, Hawaii desperately needs CBG to be a success. Tori goes public for the first time with her story of surviving domestic violence.

Journey Forward
After his uncle's murder, Gabe needs a fresh start. He joins Mizzle on a trip to New York, and discovers that he's already a big name in the BMX world. Meanwhile, Mizzle succeeds in making some important clothing deals.

Moving On or Breakup
The tension in CBG builds to a breaking point and Julian finally quits the group for good. Gabe attempts to meet up with family, but when his car overheats his own temperature hits the boiling point. Tori works towards her dream of becoming a DJ.

Going Home
Felicia visits her family in Stockton. With a baby coming she needs their support, but going home brings up unhappy memories. Mizzle organizes a Q&A with social activist Rick Ross. Corey struggles to decide between his rap career and college.

A Big Deal
Mizzle has a chance to take his "Just Be Cool" brand nationwide, but making the transition from DIY to mass-market proves difficult. Tori grows closer with Kurtis when they throw a party together. Mizzle struggles with his father's dementia.

Flying Solo
After CBG breaks up, Hawaii takes a gig as a hype man for Kreayshawn; he wonders whether he'll ever make his own music again. Julian tries a new direction and plays with a band. Felicia does her "positive makeup" in a group for the first time.

Oh, Baby!
Tori's mom comes to visit and meets Tori's new boyfriend Kurtis – will he pass muster? Former gang member Gabe has a chance to finally get off probation. Felicia and Mizzle have their baby, but Felicia worries about how she'll cope.

Rick and Morty
Rick is a mentally gifted, but sociopathic and alcoholic scientist and a grandfather to Morty; an awkward, impressionable, and somewhat spineless teenage boy. Rick moves into the family home of Morty, where he immediately becomes a bad influence.
