Sarah is dumped by her boyfriend, because of her show being cancelled. She then sits with her best friend and acts out scenes. They decide to go out to a party, and Sarah gets completely smashed. She decides to go see a therapist.

Sarah sees a therapist (guest star Mary Scheer). After finding out that her therapist won't be any help to her, she leaves and goes to a juice shop. She orders a drink, and is ripped off because the drink is limited supply. A "friend" named Gloriana comes to the store and Sarah gets a call from a casting director for a project that she would be "perfect" for. She excitedly leaves the shop, leaving Gloriana sitting alone and talking to herself.

Sarah auditions for the part in the movie, but doesn't get it. She then meets with her agents and they tell her that she needs to change her look (they tell her to dye her hair purple). She does so, and hates it. Her friend then changes it back, but makes her hair shorter, and Sarah says it's better but she doesn't like it. Her agents call again, offering her a role (requiring her to have the purple hair), which she turns down and decides that she wants to try out the "normal" life.
