Unemployed Zara Moore and Sorche Jean Baptiste Williams get the chance be like their great-great-grandmothers by working in the fashion industry. They are employed by a couple of the country's Britain's toughest bosses, Melissa Osabash and Sandy Verdon.

Stephanie Holland, a London IT girl who takes money from men to keep her lavish lifestyle going is sent to work for Michelin starred chef Lisa Allen and there are some dramatic results. Stephanie Anthony, who spends her benefits money on partying is sent to spend a week with entrepreneur of the year Priya Lehani who attempts to get her off benefits.

Leanne Duffy resdides in a squat in Brighton eating out of bins whilst claiming that the state benefits she lives on are easy money. She spennds a week working along side one of the country's toughest bosses in the advertising world who attempts to convince her of a better life away from bennefits. Marie Mercer considers work beneath her as she dreams about being famous. She spends the week with party planning boss Liz Taylor and ends up learning a few tough lessons.
