World Series - Season 78 / Year 2025

For the first time in 32 years, the World Series starts in Canada as the Blue Jays host the Dodgers in Game 1. Toronto beat Seattle in seven games to win the American League for the first time since 1993, when it repeated as world champions.

The Dodgers try to pick up the pieces down 1-0 entering Game 2 of the World Series against the Blue Jays. Los Angeles got shell-shocked 11-4 by Toronto in Game 1. Addison Barger launched a pinch-hit grand slam during a nine-run Toronto sixth inning.

The 2025 World Series shifts to California for Game 3, with the Dodgers and Blue Jays tied at 1-1. Los Angeles leveled the series with a 5-1 Game 2 victory in Toronto. Yoshinobu Yamamoto (LAD) delivered his second straight complete-game victory.

The Dodgers host the Blue Jays for Game 4 of the World Series. Shohei Ohtani tied Game 3 with a seventh-inning solo home run and Freddie Freeman ended it with another in the 18th to give Los Angeles a 6-5 win and 2-1 advantage. Ohtani starts for LA.

The Dodgers end their World Series hosting duties in Game 5 versus the Blue Jays. After a historic performance in a Game 3 for the ages, Shohei Ohtani went 0-for-3 with a walk and took the loss in Game 4, as Toronto won 6-2 and evened the set at 2-2.

The Blue Jays try to clinch the World Series over the Dodgers in Game 6. Trey Yesavage's 12 strikeouts set a rookie WS record, and Davis Schneider and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. led off with back-to-back homers in a Game 5 win, giving Toronto a 3-2 edge.

A champion is crowned as the Blue Jays host the Dodgers in Game 7 of the World Series. Los Angeles became the eighth team to record a game-ending double play when facing elimination in the Fall Classic, winning 3-1 in Game 6 to tie the series up.
